           BIORIDDLE

He freed a nation,

from discrimination,

born in nineteen-eighteen,

there was a wide ravine,

between white people and black,

so much so he was taken aback,

by how the white people lived, richer than all,

and what all else was left with was so very small.

He strived for change, and so out of fear,

they had ruthlessly utterly interfered,

And put him in jail,

without chance for bail,

With other defectors,

from the hopeful sectors,

But their hope was not rewarded,

and they remained un-accorded,

By the white men looking in from above,

with the men they had unfairly disposed of,

Yet there was still good in the world,

for his situation was twirled,

With the help of a man,

much unlike the rest of his clan

Twenty-seven years later he was freed at last,

and he was turned completely aghast,

At how much further the ravine stretched,

so he put his charisma in effect,

And after four long years,

he erupted in cheers,

For South Africa was free,

and finally in agree,

The ravine had been closed,

and it was no longer opposed,

He won a prize,

of a Nobel size,

He was a man that forever changed his era,

he was of course, Nelson Mandela.
